Living Scholarship
The Baal Shem Tov Center for Jewish Studies and Digital Humanities is committed to the people and projects carrying Jewish thought forward today. Working alongside leading academics, Rabbonim, and institutions, we spearhead initiatives that translate the depth and breadth of the tradition into the work of our own moment — keeping it rooted, dynamic, and alive.

Open Masorah
Open Masorah brings together experts to apply machine learning and data science to the study of the Masoretic text — transforming dispersed manuscript witnesses into an organized, interconnected corpus that scholars can search, compare, and analyze.
Wellsprings
Wellsprings is a living map of Jewish thought — tracing how each idea emerged, who shaped it, and how it traveled across centuries and continents. With over 1,100 ideas, 745 teachers, and 788 places charted across two millennia, it lets anyone explore how concepts originate and spread across time.
