The Munich Talmud — the only complete medieval manuscript of the Babylonian Talmud
France, 1342 · Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Munich — Cod.hebr. 95
The Munich Talmud — the only complete medieval manuscript of the entire Babylonian Talmud to survive intact, copied in northern France in 1342 on 573 parchment leaves. As the sole undivided witness to the full Bavli, it is the foundational textual reference for every modern critical edition of the Talmud and the central source consulted whenever a printing tradition is uncertain. Held at the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich (Cod.hebr. 95). A downloadable PDF facsimile is also available.
